A Look Back in Time: Sept. 11, 1919

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Sept. 11, 1919.

A primary election will be held in Sheridan on Oct. 21 for the purpose of nominating two candidates for the mayor and four for the office of commissioners. Candidates have until Oct. 11 to file with the city clerk.

Mrs. A. Schall of Center street in Monarch was a pleasant visitor at Sheridan yesterday.

Several people from Sheridan went to Billings last night to hear President Wilson speak. Among them were W.D. Fisher, T.C. Diers, D.P.B. Marshall, N.A. Pearson and J.J. Withrow.

Sheridan’s school board in a meeting last night awarded contracts for construction of the John S. Taylor school and another school at Coffeen.
