A Look Back in Time: Oct. 9, 1919

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Oct. 9, 1919.

A young teal was picked up on the street last night by a Sheridan policeman. He kept it at the station until today, when he turned the young fowl over to the superintendent of Pioneer park. The bird was apparently too young to keep up with its flock during the storm yesterday.

The Mossholder Furniture store has purchased a complete close-out sale of White Sewing Machines, values $90 to $110, and is offering them to the public for $50 to $55 and $60.

Mrs. James Dorman at 118 South Sheridan avenue entertained a company of guests at auction bridge yesterday, following a delicious chicken pie luncheon.
