A Look Back in Time: Oct. 28, 1917

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Oct. 28, 1917.

The boys and girls of the Linden School have eaten very little candy the last week, but have bought a good deal. Today, they sent four boxes packed with chocolate Hersheys and candies of every kind to the American Expeditionary Force in France.

Three cars of the finest, latest designs of furniture ever brought to Sheridan have just arrived at Tynan's Furniture Co.

Mr. and Mrs. John Arnold are expected home tomorrow from Virginia, where they have been spending two months.

Sheridan County raised 130 percent more money in the second Liberty Loan campaign than in the first. Total subscriptions were $651,000.
