A Look Back in Time: Oct. 22, 1917

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Oct. 22, 1917.

A telegram has been received from Sen. J.B. Kendrick announcing that the senator sailed late Saturday for Europe to study war conditions. He was in the company of Senator Kenyon from Iowa.

I.T. Stotts, a well-known ranchman of Arvada, died this morning at the State Hospital in Sheridan as a result of a bullet wound received while deer hunting near Arvada. The shooting, resulting from the accidental discharge of a rifle, occurred last Friday.

Today is the last time for “The Slacker” to be shown at the Grand Theater. “The Argyle Case,” the greatest detective story ever screened, is showing today and tomorrow at The Orpheum.
