A Look Back in Time: Oct. 13, 1917

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Oct. 13, 1917.

A fire yesterday afternoon destroyed the greater part of the C.B. & Q. freight shed in Clearmont, which is one of the largest in the state. The fire broke out between 3 and 4 o'clock, and the flames were only subdued after a terrific struggle on the part of the firemen.

Mr. Ignatius O'Donnell and Miss E. Afton Orton of Billings were married this afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. C.F. Fisher of Sheridan's Congregational Church.

Several teachers of the Sheridan schools started early this morning for Hortons'. Another party went to Hillmans and Tepee Lodge.

Mr. Ralph Denio returned recently from a trip to Chicago and Denver.
