A Look Back in Time: Oct. 12, 1919

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Oct. 12, 1919.

An inquest will probably be held this afternoon at Reed’s undertaking parlors over the body of the late William Elmore, who was run down and killed late Saturday night by an automobile. The accident took place at the junction of Coffeen avenue and Gladstone street.

Members of the reception committee of the Sheridan Commercial club will meet at 7 o’clock tonight to make final arrangements for the reception of delegates from several Montana, Wyoming and South Dakota towns. They will be here for the organization meeting of the Custer Battlefield Highway on Oct. 15.

A group of good roads boosters in Dayton have organized the Tongue River Scenic Road club for the purpose of road improvement in that vicinity.
