A Look Back in Time: Nov. 9, 1918

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Nov. 9, 1918.

The Sheridan County Red Cross chapter is in urgent need of men and women to care for influenza patients. New nurses are needed, as the situation is bad. Those who have been doing this noble work are worn out and must have some rest.

Pioneer citizen Herman Henschke died yesterday afternoon at his home at 34 S. Brooks street from a stomach ailment which had long persisted.

E.N. Hilt, for several years connected with the Burlington store department in Sheridan, has been selected by County Clerk Withrow to succeed Tilden A. Morris as deputy county clerk.

Mr. and Mrs. W.V. Kirby of Arvada are in Sheridan and guests at the Western.
