A Look Back in Time: Nov. 8, 1918

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Nov. 8, 1918.

At last there has been a day in which no death from influenza was reported for Sheridan county. That day ended at noon today.

A wet and penetrating snow fell during the night, and early morning found it well packed to the depth of an inch or more and somewhat deeper where drifts were encountered.

County Clerk Withrow expects to canvass the vote next Monday, along with two justices of the peace. It's been reported that no votes were cast in the Big Badger precinct.

Steaks will be 30 cents a pound and pot roasts 25 cents a pound tomorrow only at The Central Market. No telephone or shipping orders will be accepted.
