A Look Back in Time: Nov. 14, 1917

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Nov. 14, 1917.

R.H. Walsh, president of the First National Bank and chairman of the executive committee of the Loyalty League, has accepted an appointment to a managerial position in Red Cross warehouse service in France. He will leave this week for New York City, from which port he will sail for Europe on Nov. 24.

The annual stockholders meeting of the Spear Zimmerman Cattle Co. was held yesterday at the office of the company on Wyoming avenue in Sheridan.

The Sheridan Fur and Tanning Company takes all kinds of hides, and makes horse and cattle hides into coats and laprobes.
