A Look Back in Time: May 1, 1917

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on May 1, 1917.


The exalted ruler of the Sheridan Elks Lodge has named A.F. Hufford, R.G. Holden and T.C. Diers as the members of a committee to complete arrangements for the Elks drill team. Organization of the team will be completed at the meeting of the lodge tomorrow night.

H.F. Dye of Ucross was a business visitor in Sheridan today.

The Virginian company, which will present that famous western drama at the Orpheum theater tonight, arrived in Sheridan at noon today in a private car attached to engine No. 42.

Edison and Victor records for May are on sale now at Sheridan Music Co., opposite the post office.
