A Look Back in Time: March 4, 1918

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on March 4, 1918.


The local draft board has received notice that 20 general blacksmiths are needed for induction into the Aviation Section Signal Corps. The men are to be sent to Kelly Field, San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Maple left today for an extensive trip to different points in the east. He expects to be gone for two or three weeks.

“Son of Democracy,” a film built around the life of Abraham Lincoln, is showing today and tomorrow at The Orpheum theater. Admission is 10 and 20 cents for the matinee, 10 and 25 cents at night.
