A Look Back in Time: March 31, 1918

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on March 31, 1918.

Federal Food Administrator Diers has announced that Meatless Tuesday has been suspended for the next 30 days. The action has been made possible by an unusual run of hogs to market, a continuing car shortage, limited storage capacity overseas and the lack of transportation and port facilities in France.

The Western Hotel will serve special Easter dinner for $1 from 5:30 to 7:30 tonight.

Miss Laura Zander has returned from an Eastern trip during which she visited with her brother, Sergeant L.C. Zander, before he sailed for France.
