A Look Back in Time: March 16, 1916

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on March 16, 1916.

16-cent dress ginghams are on sale for 10 cents a yard at Reed's in Sheridan. Also 25-cent India linen is marked down to 10 cents a yard, and remnants are on sale at half-price.

The winds and warm weather of the last week have taken the frost out of the ground and dried the roads rapidly. The county has dragged the roads between Sheridan and the Butterfield ranch, and between Sheridan and Big Horn. The roads have also been dragged from Sheridan to the entrance of Fort Mackenzie and to Monarch.

C.L. Spracklen has just arrived from Montana with 65 head of milch cows that he will sell within the next few days. The cows may be seen at the Burlington stockyards.
