A Look Back in Time: June 9, 1919

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on June 9, 1919.

Elimination of a bad stretch of road on the Jim Creek-Piney road has been assured through the granting of a right-of-way by three property owners on Lower Piney. Work will start on the new section of the road shortly.

J. Reen of Clearmont is in Sheridan today.

The water line to Fort Mackenzie, which was destroyed by a washout some time ago, is to be repaired. The caretaker of the fort announced this morning that he is to have $100 for material and $1,000 for labor. The work will begin immediately.

Miss Gertrude Howes entertained a number of friends at a delightful informal party recently at her home on West Loucks street.
