A Look Back in Time: June 7, 1919

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on June 7, 1919.

The board of trustees of School District 7 today issued a call for a special election on June 19 for the purpose of voting $50,000 in school bonds. The bonds will help pay for a new grade school to supplant the Central School. Cost is projected to be $100,000.

Clarence Stout, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Stout, was killed last night when his car ran off a bridge near Old Acme, pinning him beneath.

R. Nicholas of Big Horn is in Sheridan on business today.

Fifty-eight seniors will graduate from Sheridan High School this year, the largest class in the school’s history.
