A Look Back in Time: June 19, 1917

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on June 19, 1917.

The noon meeting of the Red Cross today was marked by tremendous enthusiasm. Donations totaled $14,451 at that time, and both the Grand and Gem theaters have pledged a portion of their receipts.

Sheridan Commercial Co. has Titan Kerosene Tractors. The Titan 10-20 horsepower is a lightweight general farm tractor that operates on kerosene or distillate and furnishes 10 horsepower at the drawbar and 20 at the belt.

“A Daughter of the Gods” will be presented in two showings tomorrow and Thursday at the Orpheum theater.
