A Look Back in Time: June 12, 1919

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on June 12, 1919.

The heaviest rainfall of the season began falling over Sheridan this afternoon, and at 3:30 o’clock, the streets were running rivulets. The rain undoubtedly has saved the crops of this district, many of which had been virtually despaired of because of the prolonged drouth.

Managers and officers of the ball clubs of the new city baseball league will meet at 8 o’clock tonight for the purpose of arranging a new City League schedule.

A very pretty ceremony was solemnized at 8 o’clock last night at the home of Mrs. R. Gault in Dietz, the occasion being the marriage of her daughter, Merna, to Mr. Stewart McDowell. The bride and groom are both residents of Dietz.
