A Look Back in Time: July 14, 1919

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on July 14, 1919.

Chautauqua speaker Dr. Elmer Lynn Williams of Chicago spoke to about 30 members of the Commercial club at a luncheon in his honor at noon today. His topic was the need for a purification of American politics.

Stock Inspector E.N. Campbell has sold his five-room residence at 117 N. Scott street to the Farmers’ and Consumers’ Co-operative company. The company will build a warehouse on the premises.

Two members of the faculty of the University of Minnesota are in Sheridan to initiate a geological survey of the Big Horn mountains. Their work will take until about Sept. 15.
