A Look Back in Time: July 13, 1919

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on July 13, 1919.

Rev. Lewis G. Spooner of Clearmont has petitioned for nullification of his marital union with Jessie B. Spooner, whom he married at New Haven, Conn., in 1898. He claims that the defendant never sympathized with him in his work as a pastor, nor assisted him in his pastoral duties.

Sheridan hotels have been running full for some time, and it was impossible yesterday for the Chautauqua talent to find suitable accommodations at them. T.C. Diers came to the rescue and took them to his home on Gladstone street.

Derailment of a car on Main street between Works and Burkitt last night caused an hour’s blockade of street railway service.
