A Look Back in Time: July 13, 1918

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on July 13, 1918.


The local draft board has compiled the tentative list of the registrants who are to fill the draft call of July 24. Seventy-six names appear on the list.

Because of a shortage of boxcars, a number of automobiles shipped through Sheridan have made the trip on flat cars.

Mr. and Mrs. John C. Flint of Buffalo are visitors in Sheridan today.

Chautauqua pennants are being displayed about the streets of Sheridan. The event here will be July 17-22.

Boys' sport blouses, cool and comfy, are on sale for 89 cents at Sheridan's Golden Rule store.
