A Look Back in Time: July 12, 1918

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on July 12, 1918.


The agricultural situation in Sheridan county is on the verge of becoming a serious proposition as the result of calling men from the county who are engaged in agricultural work. The local draft board has been making effort to have furloughs granted for the men who are scheduled to leave on July 19 and 24, because harvest is now on.

Children's hats are going below cost at the Painter Sisters, 21 W. Loucks.

S.B. Smith and Steve Harper of Banner were in the city yesterday on business affairs.

Fried spring chicken dinner will be served from 5:30 to 7:30 Sunday at the Western Hotel Cafe.
