A Look Back in Time: Jan. 14, 1920

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Jan. 14, 1920.

Sheriff U. A. C. Thomas has gone to Redding, Calif., to bring a former Sheridan county resident back here to stand trial on a charge of issuing worthless checks.

James Calkins, the 7-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Calkins, who live at the corner of Sheridan avenue and Works street, suffered a painful accident this morning while coasting on the steep hill in the rear of the Linden school.

Hagen White has returned from Amarillo, Texas, where he went with a shipment of 2,000 cattle.

Stevens, Fryberger & Co., Sheridan’s New York Store, has bed spreads at $2.69.
