A Look Back in Time: Jan. 14, 1919

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Jan. 14, 1919.

Miss Gladys Dougherty, 16, became the bride of Ralph Beatty, an employee of the street railway company, at 1 o'clock this afternoon after an attempted elopement had failed.

Senator Peter Kooi of Sheridan was selected by the Republican caucus today for vice president of the state senate.

Mayor Camplin has drafted a polite requisition upon the two Wyoming senators in Congress to secure, if possible, two captured German cannons for Sheridan. One would be mounted upon the court house grounds and one in Pioneer Park.

Charles A. Champion is around again after being laid at home for a time by a gruelling illness.
