A Look Back in Time: Jan. 12, 1918

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Jan. 12, 1918.

In a meeting today, Sheridan County commissioners decided to petition the state highway department to designate a state highway from Sheridan to Big Horn, and to secure federal aid in construction of same. The road would be built of concrete and be known as the Sheridan-Big Horn Valley Highway.

The Sheridan Brewing Company bought, and received delivery of, a one-ton Reo truck during the month of December.

Reports that have been circulated about Jay Walker being seriously ill and not expected to live are without foundation. He had scarlet and was quarantined, but his mother received a telegram from him today saying that he is getting along splendidly.
