A Look Back in Time: Feb. 9, 1919

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Feb. 9, 1919.

R.E. McNally left today for a trip of two days to Gillette on business.

George W. Perry of Sheridan was chosen secretary and Theodore C. Diers of Sheridan was made orator of the Scottish Rite class which completed its work last week in the Consistory at the reunion in Cheyenne.

An American soldier from Montana appeared in Sheridan's police court yesterday on a charge of begging. Judge Byrd, out of respect for the khaki, dismissed the charge but granted the soldier's request to stay at the jail for one more day to wash his clothes and cleanse his person.
