A Look Back in Time: Feb. 4, 1914

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, as reported by the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Feb. 4, 1914.

County commissioners have passed a resolution offering a $500 reward for the conviction of each case of cattle-stealing, here. The reward is contingent on Sheridan County stockmen putting up a matching $500. The reward is being offered because of the numerous thefts of cattle throughout the county.

Chapter 7 of the Royal Arch Masons tendered a smoker to the Blue Lodge Masons last evening at the Masonic hall here.

The Banner Live Stock Company has posted a notice of the company's dissolution. The company dissolved as of Jan. 8, 1914.

The city's volunteer firemen will have their annual banquet tonight at the fire station.

Bob Terry says he has nice sweet oranges for sale at 25 cents per dozen.
