A Look Back in Time: Feb. 28, 1914

One of the most successful church affairs of the year occurred at the Methodist church last night. A banquet to Methodist men was served by the Adelphians. Sixty-two men sat down to tables that were beautifully decorated with red and white carnations, and lavender sweet peas. The dinner was served in four courses in excellent taste.

The Caledonian club of Sheridan county was organized last evening by eleven Scotchmen, who gathered in the city hall. Alex Petrie was elected chief, and A.K. Craig was made chieftain. The next meeting will be in two weeks, when a constitution will be adopted and plans formulated for the future of the club.

Upwards of 30 persons gathered at the T.M. Murphy home on Broadway last night to celebrate St. David's day. A bounteous supper was served promptly at 7 o'clock.

For Sheridan Media, this is Pat Blair, with a look at Sheridan County on Feb. 28, 1914.
