A Look Back in Time: Feb. 14, 1918

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Feb. 14, 1918.

The Sheridan Commercial Club in its regular meeting tonight endorsed a referendum of the United States Chamber of Commerce to discriminate against Germany in trade relations after the war if necessary for self-defense.

Sergeant Sutherland of the British Canadian Recruiting Mission arrived in Sheridan this afternoon on train 41 from Denver to organize a local committee. The committee is to interview every British subject between 18 and 21, and between 31 and 45, to find out why he isn't at war.

The people of Beckton have so far run ahead of the rest of Sheridan County in donating articles for the coming Red Cross sale.
