A Look Back in Time: Feb. 13, 1918

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Feb. 13, 1918.


The Kinnaman Brothers, who have taken over the Morris billiard parlor, have changed the name to the Welcome Billiard Parlors. They have made many improvements and will have open house tonight.

A.L. Bates of Verona is in Sheridan. Other visitors include George Holmes of Decker and Joe Miller from Banner.

County Health Officer Dr. Anna G. Hurd reports several cases of German measles in the county.

The last holiday of the present school year will be next Friday, which is Washington's birthday. There will be no spring vacation, so that school may be dismissed early, releasing the boys for farm work and other necessary labor that will help the government.
