A Look Back in Time: Dec. 8, 1918

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Dec. 8, 1918.

A farm bureau was organized in Sheridan County at a meeting yesterday. E.C. Bowman was elected temporary chairman, and M. Moncreiffe temporary secretary. Both men are from Big Horn.

A prisoner being escorted from Sherman, Texas, to Sheridan by Sheriff Mossberg jumped out of a toilet window of a passenger car Friday night in Nebraska and made good his escape.

A contingent of youth who left Sheridan county to join the students' army training corps at Colorado College, Colorado Springs, came home today to resume civilian life as a result of the prospective peace.
