A Look Back in Time: Dec. 4, 1919

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Dec. 4, 1919.


A storm of protest has been aroused by the action of the county commissioners yesterday in appropriating $2,000 for the Dayton-Kane road. There is a general feeling that the commissioners have failed to recognize the importance of this road, and a movement to increase the appropriation.

H. A. Loucks, city fuel administrator, has called for a meeting of local coal dealers in his office tonight. He plans to outline the policy of the fuel administration to meet the emergency which exists by reason of the coal shortage.

Shon Shreve was in Sheridan yesterday from his ranch on Young’s creek. He will move to the city within a few days.
