A Look Back in Time: Dec. 31, 1917

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Dec. 31, 1917.


All ladies' suits are half-price, and ladies' coats are one-quarter off during the winter clearance at Bloom's in Sheridan.

Mr. Frank Bartlet suffered a bad accident tonight on his way in from New Acme to Sheridan in his car. The auto was precipitated into Little Goose creek and badly damaged, though the driver escaped without being hurt.

The Lawrence Deming Theatre Co. will present “The Shepherd of the Hills” tonight only at the Monarch Amusement Hall in Monarch. Admission is 25 cents for children, 75 cents for adults, which includes war tax. The show starts at 8 p.m.
