A Look Back in Time: Dec. 28, 1917

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Dec. 28, 1917.

The city council-elect held an informal meeting this morning in the office of City Commissioner Birkhaeuser to consider the prospective appointees under the new administration. Among the appointees is Roy Marshall, who will be the new city clerk.

Mr. J.S. Wilson of Dayton is in Sheridan for a couple of days.

Mr. A.B. Carey of Sheridan made a run into the hills on the Badger Creek road yesterday and on his return to Sheridan today reported the roads almost impassable. He said the snow is hub deep and auto travel rather difficult.

Mr. O.J. Devlin, formerly of 415 South Brooks street, is now registered at the Crescent Hotel.
