A Look Back in Time: Aug. 20, 1914

With Sheridan County returns now complete from yesterday's elections, J.J. Withrow has a six-vote lead in the race for democratic nomination for county clerk.

However, there are eight or 10 votes from people out in the county that have yet to be counted. No determination of victory can be made until these maverick votes are counted.

Mrs. W. H. Walling returned to Dayton yesterday after a short business trip in Sheridan.

Tomorrow is Housekeeper's Day at Reed's, Sheridan's store of fashion and better quality for less money. Bleached sheets, 72 by 90, will be only 49 cents each. Hemstitched sheets, 81 by 90, a regular $1.25 value, will be $1.10 each. Extra-large Turkish towels will be 25 cents each. Reeds is in the Edelman Block on South Main Street.
