A Look Back in Time: Aug. 12, 1917

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Aug. 12, 1917.


Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Denio and nephew, Mr. William Kistler and Mr. and Mrs. E.B. Allen are motoring to Denver today. The party will be absent for two weeks.

Mr. and Mrs. George L. Wright and mother left early this morning overland for Fort Collins and Denver.

The city clerk has announced that sealed bids will be received in his office until 10 o'clock on Aug. 20 for the purchase for cash of negotiable bonds needed to pay the cost of paving District 7 in Sheridan.

Mr. and Mrs. T.B. Freeman were dinner hosts to a company of 12 this week. Bowls and vases of sweet peas and nasturtiums were about the rooms, giving cheer, color and fragrance.
