A Look Back in Time: Aug. 11, 1919

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Aug. 11, 1919.

County Club Leader L.A. Marks is securing sheep that will be placed in lots of 10 to 100 with parties in Sheridan county that can handle them. Those who want the sheep will have their choice of Hanshires or cross-bred Corriedales.

A forest fire was discovered shortly after noon today in Red Canyon in the Big Horn mountains a short distance west of Eaton’s ranch. About 25 men, working under the direction of the forest service, are on the scene.

Mrs. Florence Marshall, librarian at the Carnegie Library in Sheridan, has ordered a number of magazines for the following year, including the Ladies Home Journal and American Magazine. They will be found in the reading room at the library.
