A Look Back in Time: Aug. 11, 1918

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Aug. 11, 1918.

Scores of Sheridanites and people from the Big Horn district are expected to attend the polo game at the Polo ranch near Big Horn today. The match will be between the Sunflowers and Magpies. No entry fee will be charged, but a collection will be taken up for Mr. and Mrs. Wallop's canteen in France.

The Golden Rule store has just received another shipment of silk-poplin and taffeta dresses of striking individuality and charming colors, an extra-good value at $12.45.

Peter Kooi has donated another drinking fountain – the fifth – to the city. The fountain will be installed on the corner of Wyoming avenue and Burkitt street at the new children's playground.
