A Look Back in Time: April 18, 1914

Reed's, Sheridan's store of fashion, quality and service for less money, is having its second anniversary sale, starting today.

Most of the women in Sheridan and surrounding country know this store has the largest and best selected stock of dry goods in the area. The store is in the Edelman block. Reed's sells the McCall Patterns, which are always in the height of fashion, for 10 and 15 cents.

Twenty-five representatives from the South Omaha stockyards were in Sheridan today visiting all of the stock raisers in this vicinity. This is an annual trip for these men. They will be dinner guests this evening at the Elks club.

O.H. Richardson has won his case against the city, and will recover the balance due to him for building the city hall. His case was brought before Judge Parmalee last June, and the judge ruled in favor of the city. But Richardson appealed to the supreme court, which has reversed Judge Parmalee's decision.
