A Look Back in Time: April 14, 1919

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on April 14, 1919.

Sweet strains of heavenly music were heard to come from the county jail last night, attracting the attention of passersby for several blocks. One of the inmates apparently was trying to cheer up his comrades or himself by singing and whistling.

W.H. Johnson of Dayton is a visitor in Sheridan today. Also visiting in Sheridan today is A.M. Smith of Buffalo..

Good roads meetings will be held throughout the county in the interest of the coming bond issue, starting tonight at 8 p.m. in Big Horn at Skinner Hall. A meeting will be held tomorrow in Ranchester and in coming days at Beckton, Ulm, Dayton and Clearmont.
