Local Student Receives High Honor at UW

Each year, one exemplary University of Wyoming women is honored as the Rosemarie Martha Spitaleri Award. This award is given to UW outstanding graduating woman and this year Sarah Maze of Ranchester earned the honor. UW’s Director of Institutional Communications Chad Baldwin.

Baldwin mentioned that Maze was also the Valedictorian of her Tongue River High School Graduating class. She graduated with dual degrees in physiology and spanish with minors in neuroscience and the honors program. Another local student, Phil Klebba of Sheridan, was nominated as one of the 7 finalists for the top graduating man award but ultimately was not chosen.

Klebba graduated with degrees in rangeland ecology and watershed management, and environment and natural resources.
