Local Musicians to Hold Benefit Concert for Haiti Relief

It's been one week and one day since the 7.0 magnitude earthquake devastated the island country of Haiti, and the outpouring of aid from around the world has been staggering.

Locally, a group of Sheridan's finest musicians are coming together for a benefit concert this weekend. One of the organizers, Sean Day, was approached by Cooper Quarterman.

All of the proceeds will be given to Doctors Without Borders, which has been sending medical teams from around the world to provide critical care to thousands of quake survivors. Musician Chris Hackman.

Gary Small, of Gary Small and the Coyote Brothers, comments on the situation and on Saturday's concert.

Other musicians participating are Teka Brock, Jana Davis of Simply Jane, The Roadkill Rangers, Gumby Brown and the Nifty Critters, Alycia Vince Trio, and many more. Doors open for "A Benefit for Haiti" at the Sheridan Holiday Inn Geneva Room beginning at 8 pm this Saturday. A minimum $10 donation will be taken at the door.
