The Sheridan Police Department recently applied for and received a Local Community Contribution Grant from Wal-Mart in the amount of $1,500. Sheridan Police Sergeant Tom Henry explains how the grant will be used.

Henry said that local social services professionals have assisted by identifying 30 local kids that will take part in the Christmas shopping. Henry added that the local Wal-Mart McDonalds has also agreed to feed the kids' breakfast to provide fuel for a morning of shopping.
