Today until 3 pm is the first-ever Local Foods Expo held at the Sheridan College Watt Agricultural Center. Seventeen vendors and information booths will be on hand to discuss growing or ordering locally grown produce and meats.

Keynote speaker is Suzanne Wainwright-Evans, who will be speaking from 10 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. Organizer Kentz Willis tells us more about what she'll discuss.

One of the vendors is ChristY Lohof, who raises grass-fed and finished beef to order. She explains the benefits of her product.

All events are free and open to the public, and food service will be available as well. The first forty people to arrive will get a free goodie bag, courtesy of the event's sponsors, and there will be raffles as well.
