Local Filmmaker Leon Schatz Will Use His "Superpowers" On An Upcoming Warner Brothers Production

Soon to be the latest in the big screen comic book craze is The Green Lantern, which will be filmed in New Orleans. This upcoming Warner Brothers production is directed by Martin Campbell and starring Ryan Reynolds...and also starring local filmmaker Leon Schatz. Sheridan Media's Betsy Love has the story

Ok, so Leon isn't technically starring as a superhero in The Green Lantern. But he is part of the production team, which will certainly give him plenty of "superhero" exposure. Plus, for someone who loves their career as much as Leon, it may be nearly as much fun working on the filming side as the "flying" side in this classic comic

Leon gained experience as a filmmaker by working on a number of big name music videos and reality TV shows while living in New York, but he says returning home to the Rockies has really, as they say, "given him wings":

They will be filming The Green Lantern in the "birthplace of jazz" for about 5 months. And as we mentioned, though he won't technically be an evil-bashing "superhero":

Leon will be flying south--on an airplane--in just over a week to use his powers on the Warner Brothers production of The Green Lantern.
