Local Energy Efficiency Applications Approved

The Wyoming Business Council approved over $6 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds through the Facility Retrofit Grant Program at their meeting in Casper Thursday. The Business Council approved $48,812 for the City of Sheridan, $181,541 for Sheridan County, and $222,487 for the Sheridan County YMCA. The City had requested $97,625 in funding. Both the YMCA and Sheridan County requests were approved in full.

The program helps fund energy efficiency upgrades for facilities owned by local governments, tribal entities, nonprofit organizations, and joint powers boards.
