In his report to the Buffalo City Council at their recent meeting, Project Engineer Brent Bennett declared the Lobban Avenue Reconstruction project “substantially complete.”

Bennett said the railing on the walkway adjacent to the creek along West Fetterman Street from Main Street to Western Avenue has been installed and that the only pieces left to perform on the project are various minor “punchlist items” that need to be finished, but many of those items have been completed.

Punch list work, or portions of the project not conforming to contract specifications, must be completed before the contractor will be issued final payment.

Mayor Mike Johnson discussed potential penalties that could be assessed on the contractor involving work not being completed on time during the project.

Bennett said he will begin drafting the closing documents for the project.
