The livestock sale that ended this year's Sheridan County Fair was a huge success.

That's according to Justin West, who's chairman of the livestock committee in Sheridan County. He said the sale grossed over $440,000 with more than 180 animals going under the gavel.

He said that's due to the great support that this community provides for 4-H and FFA youth. He said the sale is a good place to invest in.

A record number of animals were sold this year, toppling the record set last year. West said the sale encompasses more than 100 4-H and FFA youth.

He said that's a good sign, an indication that the youth are interested in knowing where their food comes from and providing a quality product for people in the community.
