The search for a new director of the Sheridan County Fulmer Library has been narrowed to two applicants. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has more.

In total, the search committee received 12 applications, of which four were selected for phone interviews that were conducted in late June.

The two applicants that were selected are: Dan Siebersma, who was Campbell County Library director in the 1980’s and is presently the South Dakota State Librarian; and Sidney Stanfill, former circulation manager at Laramie County Public Library in Cheyenne and currently manager at the Sand Creek Library of the Pikes Peak Library District in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Each candidate will have the opportunity to be interviewed by staff members prior to the interview before the search committee. The search committee is comprised of the Board of Trustees, Foundation and Friends representatives, a staff representative and a member of the public. The interviews have been scheduled for July 12 & 15, and a decision is expected within the following week after the interviews have been completed.
