29th Annual Library Auction Raises $45,100

The Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library was a busy place Saturday night, as hundreds gathered for the 29th annual Library Benefit Auction.

Library Executive Director Cameron Duff says, with about 450-500 attendees each year, the event is big for Sheridan.

The library gets the money raised at the auction each year in April and it goes to buy new books and materials for the library, Duff says.

Last year Duff visited the auction just before moving to Sheridan and starting his first year at the library.

Saturday's auction took in $45,100 from raffles, and live and silent auctions. That's a little more than the two previous years, when the library raised just over $40,000 and $41,000, respectively.
