Library Auction Draws Hundreds For Celebration

The annual Friends of the Library Auction was once again a big success. Hundreds of people gathered at the library, and many took the time to place bids in both the silent and live auctions. The event is the main fundraiser for the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library each year. What did those attending think of the event?

Patti Arnieri is on the Friends of the Library Board. She tells us that an event this big does not just happen overnight.

Dozens of items were donated for both the live and silent auctions. The Wyoming Culinary Institute, which is part of Sheridan College, provided the food for the event on site. Dozens of homemade savory and sweet contributions were provided by community volunteers.

A note from Fulmer Public Library Director Cathy Butler Monday morning tells us that $43,552 was raised at this year's auction.
